Malawi Congress Party (MCP) Spokesperson Reverend Maurice Munthali has disclosed that his party will not apologize to Malawi Electoral Commission (MEC) over a statement it released last week claiming that the commission was going around to twist evidence in the on-going elections case. In the statement MCP called upon Malawians to apprehend MEC officials and surrender them to police. Currently MEC officials and lawyers are touring the country where they are conducting meetings with the May 21st Tripartite General Elections presiding officers. Vice president for the ruling Democratic progressive in the Southern Region Kondwani Nankhumwa has urged political leaders in the country to resolve their differences through mediation following the May 21 elections disputes. Nankhumwa has further urged former Presidents Bakili Muluzi and Joyce Banda as well as former vice president Justin Malewezi to rise up to the occasion and initiate dialogue to resolve the impasse which has resulted in citizens taking it to the streets to demonstrate and loot both government and private property. The opposition Malawi Congress Party (MCP) has secured most of the Parliamentary committees’ chairmanship. On Friday 12th July, Parliament elected Chairpersons and Vice Chairperson from with MCP dominating the elections. The ruling Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) also scoped some. Meanwhile, the House has adjourned sine die with Leader of government Kondwani Nankhumwa accusing MCP members of hypocrisy in regards to their conduct last month when they walked out on President Peter Mutharika during his State of National Address in Parliament.   Nankhumwa speaking in Parliament Here are the committees: 1.
